Monash Industry Team Initiative (MITI) INTERN
- I was amongst the chosen 250 from 000’s of applicants who applied for this internship program. I was rewarded a scholarship worth AUD 9000 for working on this project.
- As a MITI intern, I had the opportunity to work with a government body- Hobsons Bay City council and develop a new project- utilization and application of Virtual Reality in the functioning of the council.
- I conducted in-depth market research and visited different Councils, VR firms and consultants to identify the existing application of VR along with the hardware and software used by Wodonga Library, Wyndham council, City of Melbourne and Greater Dandenong Library.
- Analyzing the internal functioning of the council, I prepared and presented an insightful report with cost analysis, budgeting, IT requirements, manpower requirements along with short term and long-term implementation specimens of VR at Hobsons, which was highly appreciated.
